History and Tradition

La Geria Winery was founded in the late 19th century by the Rijo family, who laid the foundations for what is today one of Lanzarote’s most iconic wineries. In 1993, the Melián family acquired the winery, and since then, they have managed to perfectly combine the old wine-making traditions with the incorporation of the most advanced technologies to guarantee the highest quality in their wines. This balance between the old and the modern has allowed the winery to stay at the forefront of wine production in the region, always respecting the traditional methods that have distinguished it since its origin.
